Sunday 21st June 2:00pm

A stunning live performance for acoustic and classical guitar lovers and the musically curious. Richard Durrant: Music for Midsummer brings you the artist’s annual musical celebration of the Summer Solstice.

Featuring the artist’s haunting catalogue, including newly released track The Art of Levitation, Durrant will also play music from the High Baroque, the English Baroque and (in a fascinating homage to John Renbourn & Martin Carthy) the English Folk Baroque.

His unpretentious style should not belie the emotional depth of the music. Richard Durrant: Music for Midsummer showcases the  charisma of an informative, friendly stand-up and the talent of one of the world’s most inventive guitar virtuosos.

As heard on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music.
