BRIGHTON OPEN AIR THEATRE TEAMS UP WITH AWARD-WINNING BRIGHTON THEATRE COMPANY TO CO-PRODUCE AN ARTHUR MILLER CLASSIC

Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) and The Conor Baum Company are thrilled to announce a new professional co-production of Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge as part of its 2026 programme. This will be the first time that the venue and a professional theatre company have collaborated on a production for the summer season at BOAT.

The Conor Baum Company has been a popular fixture for the past few seasons. Recent productions at the venue include Homestead, a radical reworking of Frederico Garcia Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba which played two separate runs in both May and August in 2024 due to critical acclaim and exceptional demand. In 2025, the company’s Brighton Fringe award-winning and Offie Award-nominated production of Sophocles’ Electra transferred to BOAT for a limited run, followed by an equally acclaimed production later that year – Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams.

Co-Producer Will Mytum, General Manager of BOAT, says: “We are utterly delighted to be collaborating with The Conor Baum Company on this production of A View From The Bridge. Conor’s work has been a consistent highlight of recent seasons, and the epic drama of Arthur Miller’s classic is the perfect choice for our stage, as well as boasting searingly relevant themes.”

Co-Producer and Director Conor Baum, Artistic Director of The Conor Baum Company, says: “I am absolutely delighted to be collaborating with BOAT. I was fortunate enough to be a newly graduated actor in the theatre’s inaugural season, and since then I have returned to the venue as both performer and theatre maker many times. Creating work for such a unique space has become a passion of mine, and I hope that this collaboration might spell exciting new things on the horizon for professional theatre production in Brighton.”

The production will run from Wednesday 5th to Saturday 8th August. Tickets are available now.
