Gin Palace Productions presents

Practically Perfect!

Sunday 22nd May

“They cut out my voice – how do you think I felt?!”

Practically Perfect! takes a light-hearted, affectionate and moving look at the many aspects of Julie Andrews’ spectacular career and personal life, exploring the contrast between the public face of this legendary musical and movie star and the intensely private family woman.

From her humble beginnings singing to entertain family and friends, to her discovery as a talented teenager with a voice mature beyond her years. The show covers her performing in vaudeville and London’s West End, to her life-changing opportunity to work on Broadway, her gut-wrenching decision to leave England and her family, and on to her success in Hollywood.

The show is filled with comedy, drama and some of the best known songs from Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music and many more of her musical and film triumphs.

Brought to you by Gin Palace Productions (Blighty, Broadway and Beyond!), this musical play pays tribute to Andrews’ phenomenal career up until 1997 when, tragically, a controversial surgical procedure deprived her of her four-octave voice.
