ThirdSpace Theatre presents

Kite Tales

Sunday 14th July

BOOK NOW

Flying high in the sky, symbolising hope, kites are a treasured symbol the world over. This year, the young people of ThirdSpace Theatre have been using kites as their inspiration. They have explored stories and tales from across the world, both near and far. We’ve looked at what kites mean to them, and supported them in creating their own pieces of work. So come down to BOAT this summer, step into the world and minds of our young people, and look to the skies to experience their Kite Tales.

Kite Tales brings together almost 150 young people from ThirdSpace. It will showcase stage combat, drama, movement, spoken word, and more.

About ThirdSpace Theatre
ThirdSpace is Brighton & Hove’s young people theatre company. We offer weekly acting classes for children, teenagers, and young adults. We make artistically ambitious, youth-led, award-winning contemporary theatre which is co-created with young people. In 2017 we were winners of The Outstanding Theatre Award 2017.

Young people are seen as collaborators and we help them develop their skills to a professional level. They are fully involved in the real world of an ensemble theatre company, working on productions from start to finish. This includes working behind the scenes. They make work which speaks to them and their experiences, exploring ideas they find challenging or exciting.

Over a third of the places we offer are accessed free of charge and we have a brilliant concession discount for those who might otherwise struggle to afford other youth theatres at the competitive rates.

For parents/carers of children in the free clubs, there are a limited number of free tickets available. These are allocated 2 per family and on a first-come-first-serve basis. Due to these tickets being limited, we can’t guarantee that everyone will be able to get one. Please email ThirdSpace info@thirdspacetheatre.co.uk to request these tickets.
