The Covid-19 pandemic has had devastating financial implications for the theatre sector, including us at BOAT. In April 2020, we launched our #keepBOATafloat fundraising campaign, which has raised thousands of pounds to help us navigate through these turbulent times. BOAT would like to issue an enormous ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported us throughout this incredibly difficult period.
BOAT is a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 1156051) and our charitable objective is ‘the advancement of education in arts culture through the establishment and maintenance of an open-air theatre in Brighton & Hove for the use of residents and visitors’. We opened in 2015, and there are still major improvements needed to our infrastructure and technical facilities in order to help us achieve our charitable objective in the best possible way.
We will soon begin fundraising for a capital development project, which will build a new box office and toilet block, with fully accessibly facilities.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so here.
