How can I support BOAT more?

BOAT events are run by volunteers. If you would like to join the team or have any other skills that you would like to contribute please do get in touch – please email brightonopenairtheatre@gmail.com or pop in and see us when we are at the venue. We can repay you with gratitude, opportunities to meet and work with some amazing people and free tickets to our events.

BOAT doesn’t receive any corporate funding or grants. BOAT is indebted to the many individuals, communities, businesses and institutions who have generously donated their money, time and expertise to the project. In particular we would like to thanks Brighton and Hove City Council for leasing the site at a peppercorn rate and architects Miller Bourne Partnership who managed the design and planning process pro bono.

The final construction cost of BOAT was £118,000. Adrian’s foundation bequest was £18,000. The remaining £100,000 was raised through an art auction, six fundraising comedy shows and hundreds of donations big and small from BOAT supporters. We thank them all for their generosity.
